If you are considering using a Franchise Consultant to assist you in finding the right franchise, make sure they have your best interest in mind. If they try and push you into making a quick decision, or they try and steer you towards a franchise that you have no interest in, you should be leery of their intentions. The role of a Franchise Consultant is to gather information from you, listen to your goals and interests, find out about your past experiences, gather basic financial information, and then listen some more. Once the consultant has located a few franchises that fit with what you are looking for they should be presented to you in an unbiased manner for your opinion. Purchasing a franchise is a huge life changing decision, the last thing you need during this process is to have someone trying to push you into something.
